last modified: January 2, 2013

DynamicBinding has several meanings in computing.

In the LispLanguage, it refers to a VariableBinding (association between a variable and its name) that has DynamicExtent.

In many ObjectOriented languages, it refers to a method call on an object being selected according to the dynamic type of the object - virtual functions in CeePlusPlus, normal method calls in most other languages.
