Before a check-in (commit in CVS and SVN terminology), ask TortoiseCvs (or TortoiseSvn) to show a diff of the files that are being committed.
The diff can be used to explain every line changed to the reviewer.
Why TortoiseSvn instead of just "svn diff"?
